Alleluia Choir
Wednesday
4:30-5:00 Choir Enrichment
5:00-5:45 Rehearsal
Alleluia Choir is for children in grades 2-5. Singing in the Alleluia Choir is one of the first opportunities for children to serve God in the church. Choir members learn about parts of the worship service, hymns, Bible study, anthems, beginning music notation through chime playing, discovering our most beautiful and healthy singing voice, and getting to know our church friends better. The Alleluia Choir sings during worship once a month during the choir season. The choir presents a children’s musical and usually participates in a regional choir festival.
Choir Enrichment
All children in kindergarten through fifth grades are welcome to attend our choir enrichment program. Murphy Ehlers is the director of the choir enrichment program and Linda Schenburn assists. This program is designed to be fun and relationships and talking between the children and us is encouraged. Each week we make different activities/crafts that are planned. A Bible lesson is taught each week and this year we are using a DVD called The Story that teaches the Bible in 31 chronological lessons.
