Committees at UPC carry out the work of the church in conjunction with the professional staff.
Committees of Session
These committees report to, and are directed by, Session. Committees of Session are chaired by elders; members of the congregation are invited and encouraged to serve on them as well. The committees of Session are:
Administration. Administers the church office and updating of church manuals.

Finance & Stewardship. Manages and accounts for all monies received by UPC and the disbursement thereof, according to the church budget or at the direction of the Session. Encourages the participation of the members in the work of the church through the offering of gifts and individual time and talents (Stewardship Campaign).
Membership Life. Nurtures and develops fellowship and spiritual growth within the congregation. Coordinates activities that involve welcoming visitors and newcomers, organizes New Member classes, and reaches out to less than active members. Also charged with promoting church activities in the community.

Worship. All worship is under the direction of Session. The Worship Committee is responsible for the planning and performance of our services of worship, the administration of the sacraments, and for supervising our music and liturgical art programs.
Other Committees
The following standing committees are independent of Session. All members are elected directly by the congregation.
Audit. Audits the financial records of the church.
Nominating. Charged with identifying members willing to serve as church officers (Elders and Deacons) and on special committees. The Nominating Committee places the names of these nominees before the congregation for election.
